Daily Wellness Report: 3.30.20

PRIOR NIGHT’S SLEEP: Approximately 8 hours.

MORNING SUGAR: 93.

BOWEL MOVEMENT (s):  1 morning BM.  Nothing special.

BREAKFAST: 2 cups of coffee, with French Vanilla cream, which means I did not add my usual Splendas.  Score!  2 pieces of peanut butter toast.

LUNCH:  1 Lunchable: turkey, cheese, crackers and 2 cookies.  Also, one of those awesome new Chiquita snacks: sliced apples, raisins/cranberries and small pieces of cheese.

DINNER: 1 roast beef / Colby Jack cheese sandwich.  Several handfuls of corn chips.  8 tiny cookies with a small cup of milk for dessert.

SNACKS: Evening snacks:  Several handfuls of chocolate-drizzled popcorn  Not sure if I had other snacks throughout the day.  Again, so much of this quarantine time makes everything meld together into a big blob of time.

EXERCISE: Full body stretch.  110 push-ups.  500 ab crunches / sit-ups.  Just the basics this morning, no weights or cardio.

TOTAL NO. OF STEPS:  6327

WRITING: This blog.  Yesterday's blog (I'm behind a day).

THERAPY HOMEWORK: 20 minutes of meditation.

SOCIAL OUTINGS: A drive to the 99Cent Store for our weekly stock-up.  And I had a Zoom meeting w/ my writer's group.  Proved to be wonderfully productive as well as therapeutic.

MEDITATIVE WRITING:  None.

READING: The evening's still young, and I have a new book to read, with the intention to pen my first book review!  :)

HOUSEHOLD CHORES / PROJECTS: Grocery shopping.

OTHER / MISC.:  Began season three of Westworld.

I recorded an eighth episode of "Klugula reads his Klassics".

Here's a link to said episode:

DID I MAKE THE BED?  Yes.

DID I POOP MY PANTS?  No.

For our brief excursion into the outside world, there was the usual anxiety of going into the mouth of the dragon (the public).  We actually wore masks and gloves for this shopping trip to the 99Cent Store.  Felt like maybe we were overdoing it, but better safe than sorry, right?

We were in and out rather quick, got most of what we needed, washed down the packages when we arrived home and that was it.

Had to tell a guy behind us to back up, as he was standing so close to us in the checkout.  His reply, "I forgot".  I weep for the future of humanity.

Daily Wellness Report: 3.29.20

PRIOR NIGHT’S SLEEP: As I'm penning this an entire day late, I don't recall my sleep from two nights ago -- so we'll just guess the usual 8 hours.

MORNING SUGAR: 117.

BOWEL MOVEMENT (s):  2 morning BM's -- within about an hour of one another.  Coffee working overtime I guess.

BREAKFAST: 2 cups of coffee, with cream and 4 total Splendas.  2 pieces of peanut butter toast.

LUNCH:  Diced and fried a potato, with onion, chopped bacon pieces and Parmesan cheese.  Split w/ the other half.

DINNER: Leftover pasta from the day before.

SNACKS: Don't recall snacks from yesterday.  No doubt, several of those tiny cookies I've been loving lately.  Oh, and I do remember having an apple.

EXERCISE: Full body stretch.  110 push-ups.  450 ab crunches / sit-ups.  Free weights.

TOTAL NO. OF STEPS:  3700+.

WRITING: Worked through 59 pages on the fourth draft of "Trip".  And was able to complete that draft.

THERAPY HOMEWORK: 20 minutes of meditation.

SOCIAL OUTINGS: None.

MEDITATIVE WRITING:  None.

READING: None.

HOUSEHOLD CHORES / PROJECTS: None (that I recall, I mean that was a whole day ago!)

OTHER / MISC.:

I recorded an 9th episode of "Klugula reads his Klassics".

Here's a link to said episode:

DID I MAKE THE BED?  Yes.

DID I POOP MY PANTS?  No.

It was a pretty good day, from what I recall.  Lots of writing done and little to no anxiety.  Of course, I didn't leave the house and that keeps my stresses pretty well in check.

Daily Wellness Report: 3.28.20

AND YOU'LL NOTE THAT THERE'S NO PICTURE ON THIS BLOG.  IT'S LATE AND I'M FEELING LAZY.  THERE.

PRIOR NIGHT’S SLEEP: 6.5 hours.

MORNING SUGAR: 127.

BOWEL MOVEMENT (s):  1 morning BM, but frankly, wasn't a total success (meaning I don't believe I got everything out).  One of the reasons for keeping up on these life details -- well, I had Wendy's the night before.  Could that be the reason that I didn't have a proper BM this morning?  Perhaps.  Anyway, chalk it up to knowledge about my body.  Crappy fast food makes my poops less successful.

BREAKFAST: 2 cups of coffee, with cream and 4 total Splendas.  2 pieces of peanut butter toast.  1 banana.

LUNCH:  "Mega" sized buffalo chicken/mac n cheese pot pie.

DINNER: Pasta with mushroom/tomato sauce.

SNACKS: Evening snacks: Several handfuls of popcorn / 8 tiny cookies.  I also had more of these cookies at another point in the day, but I don't recall when.

EXERCISE: Full body stretch.  10 push-ups.  400 ab crunches / sit-ups.  Cardio via Beach Body / Power 90.

TOTAL NO. OF STEPS:  4349.

WRITING: This blog.  Worked through 26 pages on "Trip".

THERAPY HOMEWORK: 20 minutes of meditation.

SOCIAL OUTINGS: Did not leave the house, not even to get the mail.

MEDITATIVE WRITING:  None.

READING: None.

HOUSEHOLD CHORES / PROJECTS: None.

OTHER / MISC.:  Finished our multiple day binge of Westworld season two.

I recorded an eighth episode of "Klugula reads his Klassics".

Here's a link to said episode:

DID I MAKE THE BED?  Yes.

DID I POOP MY PANTS?  No.

Pretty low anxiety today.  I got some work done, enjoyed some binge-TV and got my exercise and meditation in.  Not much to complain or worry about.

Daily Wellness Report: 3.27.20

PRIOR NIGHT’S SLEEP: This is getting tough to remember each day.  I'm generally doing these reports at the end of the day, and so I'm not recalling my wakeup time and prior night's bedtime.  So, let's just generally go for approximately 8 hours a night.  If it's something ridiculously shorter or longer than that, then perhaps I'll make note of the changes.

MORNING SUGAR: 102.

BOWEL MOVEMENT (s):  1 regular morning BM.

BREAKFAST: 2 cups of coffee, with cream and 4 total Splendas.  2 pieces of peanut butter toast.  1 banana.

LUNCH:  1 roast beef / Colby Jack cheese sandwich.  Several handfuls of corn chips.  1 Nutrigrain breakfast bar for dessert.

DINNER: We ordered in Wendy's again.  So.  Half of an order of bacon/cheese fries.  1 double stack.  1 large Frosty.

SNACKS: Several handfuls of veggie chips.  And I don't recall any other snacks today.

EXERCISE: Full body stretch.  110 push-ups.  400 ab crunches / sit-ups.  Free weights.

TOTAL NO. OF STEPS: 4310.

WRITING: This blog.  And GLORY BE!  I worked through 24 pages on the fourth draft of my script, "Trip".  Back on the writing horse?  I sure as hell hope so!

THERAPY HOMEWORK:  20 minute meditation.  Finding this to be a must each day.

SOCIAL OUTINGS: Did not leave the house today, other than to get our Wendy's food delivery... so I guess I left the building (for five minutes).

MEDITATIVE WRITING:  None.

READING: None.

HOUSEHOLD CHORES / PROJECTS: Not a damned thing.

OTHER / MISC.:  Moving further into season two of Westworld.  Over halfway through season two now.  I'm assuming we'll not be able to control ourselves (been watching 2 episodes per night) and will finish it off tomorrow.

I recorded a seventh episode of "Klugula reads his Klassics".

Here's a link to said episode:

DID I MAKE THE BED?  Yes.

DID I POOP MY PANTS?  No.  And no poo anxiety.  Will this quarantine and the complete lack of social anxiety, thus no poo anxiety -- end up being the best thing that could have happened to me and this particular phobia?  Time will tell!

Anxiety was mostly at a low today.  And with yesterday's chiropractic appointment (and believed success), I thought my "chest congestion" was gone.  But the tightness showed up again this afternoon.  I have no temperature, no light/dry cough (as the symptoms of THAT are said to be)... but this chest tightness seems to continue, but off and on.  So I'm starting to believe it's just a case of anxiety -- and the continuation of something out of whack in my back.  I'm working out almost at full force now, being cautious not to pull or bother anything -- but the pain in my back lingers... nothing monumental, but it's there.  And the weird pain in my right shoulder (all felt connected w/ the back issues) is still there.  But I have fuller movement of that shoulder now.

Also dealing with very windy days, which I believe may be a part of my chest issues -- seasonal allergies with all of the crap being rustled up by LA's high winds over the past couple of days.

Indeed, my body's definitely falling apart, but COVID-19 doesn't seem to be the culprit.

And finally, making me feel great today - today's photo is the iTunes announcement for the feature film I starred in -- and I'm the subject of the ad.  Very cool.  :)

I recorded a sixth episode of "Klugula reads his Klassics".

Here's a link to said episode:

DID I MAKE THE BED?  Yes.

DID I POOP MY PANTS?  No.

Some anxiety going out to my chiropractor.  But there was no on there, aside from those who worked there.  And when I walked in, the smell of bleach was heavy in the air, so that made me feel more comfortable.

Daily Wellness Report: 3.25.20

PRIOR NIGHT’S SLEEP: Approximately 8 hours.  It seems that's been the norm lately, but as I've mentioned before, days are starting to meld into one another, so it may be more or less than 8 hours, I simply don't recall.

MORNING SUGAR: 115.

BOWEL MOVEMENT (s):  1 regular morning BM.

BREAKFAST: 2 cups of coffee, with cream and 4 total Splendas.  2 pieces of peanut butter toast.  1 banana.

LUNCH:  1 roast beef/Colby Jack cheese sandwich.  Several handfuls of corn chips.  1 apple.

DINNER: Leftover pasta from yesterday.

SNACKS: Afternoon snacks: another Lunchable type product from Chiquita -- several small pieces of cheese, a handful of raisins/dried cranberries and sliced apple pieces.  Several small cookies with milk.  Evening snack: several handfuls of chocolate drizzled popcorn.  1 banana in the evening as well.

EXERCISE: Full body stretch.  110 push-ups.  Up to 400 ab crunches / sit-ups.  Free weights.  And I upped the weight on certain exercises.  My sore back seemed to handle it okay.

TOTAL NO. OF STEPS: Just over 3800.

WRITING: This blog.  Nothing else.

THERAPY HOMEWORK:  20 minute meditation.

SOCIAL OUTINGS: Nada.

MEDITATIVE WRITING: None.

Here's a link to said episode:

DID I MAKE THE BED?  Yes.

DID I POOP MY PANTS? No.

Some anxiety today, although I didn't go out.  Today and for a chunk of time yesterday, I've been having headaches and chest congestion (both seem to come and go and vary in severity), so of course, I think I've got THAT.  I mean, maybe I do, but I have no fever and overall, feel okay.  But we've been having rainy weather, so the barometric pressure is messing with me.  Also that ongoing back pain, and the underlying anxiety of everything happening.  I hope it's not THAT, but we'll continue to monitor.  Ugh.

Daily Wellness Report: 3.24.20

PRIOR NIGHT’S SLEEP: Approximately 8 hours.

MORNING SUGAR: 111.

BOWEL MOVEMENT (s):  1 regular morning BM.

BREAKFAST: 2 cups of coffee, with cream and 4 total Splendas.  2 pieces of peanut butter toast.  1 banana.

LUNCH:  1 Lunchable (ham, cheese, crackers, 2 cookies).  Several handfuls of corn chips.  Several tiny cookies.  1 apple.

DINNER: Angel hair pasta, with tomato sauce.  1 cup of milk and 8 tiny cookies for dessert.

SNACKS: A Lunchable type product from Chiquita -- several small pieces of cheese, a handful of pretzels and sliced apple.  Gotta find more of these, 'cause it was good!  :)

EXERCISE: Full body stretch.  110 push-ups.  Up to 400 ab crunches / sit-ups.  Power 90 / Beach Body Cardio.

My back's still not 100%, but seems to be getting there.  No doubt, there's gonna need to be a walk to my chiropractor, despite the "Stay at Home" order.  Gotta get this fixed up.

TOTAL NO. OF STEPS: Just under 7k.

THERAPY HOMEWORK:  20 minute meditation.

DID I MAKE THE BED?  Yes.

DID I POOP MY PANTS? No.

Not a great deal of anxiety today.  Although, I have been feeling congestion in my chest, which naturally worries me.  Do I have it?  Or is it allergies, lack of fresh air, the fact that my back is still somewhat out of whack?  Or is it anxiety about pending doom which is causing tightness in my chest?  I checked my temperature twice in the past two days, and all was fine.  So... who the hell knows.
